Telephone calls on the Motorola Xoom

Install Groove IP and link it to your Google voice account and then you can dial out and receive calls over wifi on your Xoom.

My Xoom is currently running the tiamat kernel. Its over locked to 1.4 ghz, but when I kick it up to 1.7ghz the quadrant score tops 3800.

I installed Fring which will let me video chat to someone with an iphone.

Congress fails to learn?

After the election results I would have thought that Washington would have learned the people want them to be fiscally responsible.

My suggested Fed Budget cuts and stuff

1. Freeze fed government hiring
No more new hiring or replacing retirees for 2nd years.

2. No paid congressional travel for 12 months.

3. 10 % reduction in congressional pay. And 10% reduction in assistants and department personnel.

4. Airforce one grounded every second month and only 1 overseas trip every 4 months.

5. Allow bush tax cuts to expire.

Now for more.

6. Make earmarks illegal.

7. Make lobbying within the district of Columbia illegal.

8. Former government workers banned from working for lobbying firms for 10 years.

9. Tax rebates only for people who pay tax and no tax rebates for companies.

10. Passport required to vote and government to provide passports free of charge with strict verification of citizenship required.

11. Flat tax rates for individuals and companies. In store pricing must include tax.

12. 10% tax surcharge for companies who outsource overseas.
